Good evening! Where I am typing this right now it is 11:13 PM. This is not a usual time of night for me, being the eight-hour-of-sleep loving person that I am. No, usually I'd have been in bed about an hour ago due to becoming bored with everything in the whole world and deciding it was time to sleep.
But tonight I'm still up listening to music for the hell of it. Mostly because despite having listened to it about five times in a row, I still love the line "But the rainbow has a beard" in Cream's Swlabr. I'll give you a second to go check out that awesomeness before coming back.
Doodedoo~
Done? That was pretty awesome, eh? I'm going to assume you said yes and move on with the rest of this introductory post. From now on, I'll be attempting to post at least bi-weekly to this blog about goings on that I find interesting. Sometime in the next few days, expect that to be a post about the bands I am in love with that have recently or will soon come out with new albums.
You may ask yourself--"Hey, this guy seems pretty well adjusted and normal...why's he making a blog?"
And I will answer that question. The last few days I've been reading through a small portion of the archive of absolutely fantastic posts on Hyperbole and a Half. I have been incredibly entertained the whole while, and I sort of just thOHGODMOSQUITO okay it's been taken care of. Where was I?
Right. I sort of just thought I'd start putting up some blog posts of my own, mostly to entertain myself and be able to look back some time from now and think "Hey! I'm really glad I still haven't grown out of that sort of awkward phase I had as a teenager where everything was an innuendo and beards and metal hair were the greatest thing since sliced bread, but not as great as sliced bread with peanut butter and marshmallow fluff on it, and the only thing I did all day was listen to metal and holy shit am I rambling, I guess I must be getting old or something. I should go listen to music I loved in my youth while wildly flailing on a drum kit even though I'm actually a vocalist/bassist and not a drummer whatsoever."
That sure got away from me quick.
I see you have realized the same thing as our favorite blogger Allie has - blogging is cheaper than therapy.
